Imagine a program designed not just to get you to a summit, but to transform you into a competent and confident high-altitude mountaineer. That is the essence of our 4×6000 expedition: a 14-day journey into the heart of the Atacama Puna, meticulously structured to progressively acclimatize your body and take you to the top of four impressive 6,000-meter volcanoes. It’s the perfect challenge for those seeking their first experience above this threshold and for mountaineers looking to consolidate their experience for greater challenges.
Success at high altitude is not achieved by brute force, but by an intelligent strategy. Our itinerary is a proven plan that adapts your body step by step, minimizing risks and maximizing performance. The journey begins by establishing our acclimatization base camp at Laguna Santa Rosa (3,700 m), where we initiate the dialogue with altitude. The first major test comes with the ascent of Cerro Pastillitos (5,100 m), perfectly applying the golden rule “climb high, sleep low” to force a real adaptation. Finally, we consolidate our acclimatization at the spectacular Laguna Verde base camp (4,340 m), our home and operations center for the main objectives.

With a robust and consolidated acclimatization, the real challenge begins. From Laguna Verde, and alternating with rest days to ensure recovery, we face four of the region’s giants. First, Tres Cruces Norte (6,030 m), our gateway to the 6000er club. It is followed by Barrancas Blancas (6,119 m) and Ermitaño (6,146 m), where we gain confidence and feel our bodies become more efficient. We culminate with Vicuñas (6,108 m), crowning an extraordinary achievement: four world-class summits in a single, unforgettable expedition.
Whoever completes the 4×6000 doesn’t just come back with four summits. They return with an adaptation to altitude that would normally take several seasons to achieve, ready to safely face the greatest challenges of the Andes and the world. This is a program for those who seek results.
